DEFINITION of Fisher College of Business

The Max M. Fisher College of Business is the school of business at Ohio State University. In 2018, its enrollment was approximately 7,400 undergraduate students and 1,000 graduate-level students. The Max M. Fisher College of Business offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in a variety of business disciplines, including accounting, economics, international business, human resources, marketing, management and finance. It specializes in supply chain management studies.

The Max M. Fisher College of Business, also known as the Fisher College of Business, was established in 1916. It is located in Columbus, Ohio, on the northern part of the Ohio State University campus. It has 95 tenure-track academic staff, 10 clinical track and 55 full-time non-tenure track academic staff.

Fisher College of Business offers undergraduate degrees in accounting, business management, aviation management, economics, finance, human resources, information systems, insurance, international business, logistics management, marketing, operations management, real estate and self-directed study.

The graduate school offers specialized master’s degrees in accounting, logistics engineering, operational excellence, human resource management, business analytics and finance. Fisher College of Business also offers full-time master of business administration (MBA), part-time MBA, executive MBA and PhD programs.

The Fisher College of Business has been ranked number 15 overall for undergraduate business and number seven among public universities by U.S. News & World Report, number 14 overall for undergraduate business and number seven among public universities by Bloomberg Businessweek, and number 14 overall and number 11 among public universities by Public Accounting Report.

The MBA program has been ranked number 31 overall and number 12 among public universities by U.S. News & World Report; number 68 overall, number 34 in the United States and number 16 among public universities by the Financial Times; and number 52 overall, number 34 in the United States and number 14 among public universities by The Economist.
