Durham University Business School

Durham University Business School is located on two campuses in England. It offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree programs in a variety of business disciplines, with specific focus on business research and international business.

Durham University Business School is a relatively young school, having been established in 1965. But in its short existence it has become one of the highest ranked business schools in the world and holds three separate accreditations: European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Association of Masters of Business Administration (AMBA).

Durham offers degrees for both undergraduates and graduates in business. Undergraduate options include finance and accounting, economics, and marketing and take three to four years to complete. Master’s degrees are offered in Islamic finance and management, in addition to the undergraduate fields. Students pursuing degrees in economics will attend classes in Durham, while those pursuing degrees in business, marketing, accounting and finance will to Queen's Campus in Stockton on Tees.

Applicants accepted for the master of business administration (MBA) program at Durham have an average GMAT score of 675 and a grade point average of 3.3. Those pursuing an MBA can take a full-time class load to finish in 12 or 15 months, complete some classes on-site and some online in two years, or spend 18 months in the executive MBA program. Other higher-education opportunities include a doctorate in business administration, which can be obtained by going full-time for three years or part-time for six years.

Graduates of Durham University Business School include CEOs, ambassadors, rugby players, company presidents and government leaders. In 2018, The Financial Times ranked Durham's online MBA program second in the United Kingdom and fifth worldwide. After graduation, 91% of students are employed within three months. Part of this high percentage is due to the school's solid connections with numerous businesses.

Durham University is one of the oldest colleges in England. It was established in 1832, after only Oxford and Cambridge. Its student population of approximately 15,000 students makes up a good portion of the entire population of Durham. Both the campus in Durham and the one in Stockton on Tees are located less than three hours from London.

The school encourages experiencing other cultures, with more than 600 students either coming to Durham from other partner institutions or going abroad from Durham for a portion of their studies. Upon graduation, approximately 83% of graduates are employed.
