The Association of Latino Professionals In Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is a not-for-profit organization created in 1972 to enhance opportunities for Latino persons in the financial, accounting and related fields. The ALPFA helps by offering scholarships, promoting job fairs, instigating networking events and other related educational and social programming. The association also offers mentoring and workshops offering their members the tools necessary to compete in today's connected and multicultural workforce. Today, the ALPFA is short for the Association of Latino Professionals For America.

The Association of Latino Professionals In Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is built on a very structured foundation which began with the American Association of Hispanic Certified Public Accountants. They set out specific goals to be met, as well as outline how their progress is to be measured and assessed. Their data shows that the number of successful Latinos in all areas of the financial field has increased since the foundation began.

Today, according to the association, they serve more than 81,000 professional and student members across the country. Aggressive growth plans hope to push members beyond 100,000 within the next two years. In 2017, under a partnership with Fortune Magazine and Columbia University, the ALPFA held the first ever 50 Most Powerful Latina in Corporate America event.
