Experience

Rick has over 37 years of financial experience in small firms and large enterprises in the financial industry realm. His writing appears on Investopedia.com, Christian Science Monitor online and InDepthNews.net. You will also find his Investopedia work syndicated to Yahoo and Forbes as well as cited on financial services websites around the internet.

Rick began his career in national accounts at the Huntington National Bank in 1981. From that time he has held positions in financial analysis, financial planning, international treasury, corporate finance, and business development. He has worked with Firth Third–The Ohio Company, Guardian Enterprise Group, Sweetwater Asset Management, New Albany Capital Partners, and PNC Investments.

Rick has co-managed portfolios totaling $176 million. He also co-developed a model for improving stock selection for enhanced investor return. He has been responsible for creating SEC complaint hedge fund documentation and operating structures. Rick also worked with the development and implementation of financial reporting, financial forecasting, and budgeting processes.

Rick has served on the CFA Standards and Practices Committee, sat on the CFA Columbus board of directors, and been a past president of the Columbus group. He was also the managing partner of ResearchStock.com and the founder of Right Tail Consulting.

Education

Rick received his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, and earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance at Kent State University Graduate School of Management.
