William McGee has more than 25 years of experience as an investigative journalist and editor. He specializes in articles about the airline industry, travel, business and retirement, among other topics. He wrote the book Attention All Passengers, an investigative look at the airline industry. His work has appeared in The New York Time, USA Today, Consumer Reports, the Washington Post and other publications.

William wrote a monthly travel column for USA Today and served as the lone passenger advocate on the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Future of Aviation Advisory Committee on behalf of Consumer Reports.In 2010, on behalf of Consumers Union, he served as the lone passenger advocate on the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Future of Aviation Advisory Committee.

Education

William is an FAA-licensed aircraft dispatcher and served in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. He received an MFA from Columbia University.
