Experience

Sumera Ghias, a CFA charterholder, has more than five years of experience in transaction advisory services in Saudi Arabia. She has extensive experience in valuation, due diligence and financial modeling, and has prepared several feasibility studies, business plans, private placement memorandums and banking memorandums. Additionally, she has conducted internal valuation seminars for junior staff at her financial firm.

Sumera is currently a financial consultant with the business plan software company, Deerasa. After graduating with a dual degree in business and finance, Sumera began her career as an accountant for her alma mater, the College of Business Administration in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before joining Deerasa, she worked as a financial analyst for an Islamic boutique investment banking firm in Saudi Arabia. As a financial analyst, Sumera specialized in financial modeling, valuation, and Islamic finance. As a freelance writer, she uses her academic training and professional experience to create content related to finance and Islamic banking and investments.

Education

With honors, Sumera earned an Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the College of Business Administration in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  She is also a CFA charterholder and holds a certificate in web design.
