Experience

Veteran financial writer David Allison is an editor at the award-winning Atlanta Business Chronicle where he has worked for over 33 years. He writes and reports for the Chronicle, and his articles have also appeared in newspapers like the Charlotte Business Journal, Orlando Business Journal, and dozens of other financial publications, including Yahoo Finance and Investopedia.com.

In addition, David is the author of “Attacked on All Sides” a history of the Civil War battle of Decatur, Georgia, published in 2018. His interest in news and history converged decades ago when he was president of the Greater Atlanta Archaeological Society. His avid interest in U.S.-based archaeology led him to publish two well-received academic articles: "Possible Astronomical Symbols on 'Sacred' Weeden Island Pottery," Early Georgia, Vol. 31, Number 1, June 2003; "Soapstone Ridge," with Tom Wheaton, Early Georgia, Vol. 32, Number 1, June 2004.
