Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos has led the creation and development of one the biggest business success stories in history. Bezos has had valuable assistance from the company's management team in directing the growth of the $825 billion market cap company. Bezos and other key executives at Amazon have successfully managed continual growth and expansion of the company's business lines, growing it from an online bookseller into the largest online purveyor.

Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos founded Amazon.com in 1994 and serves as the company's president, chief executive officer (CEO) and chairman of the board of directors. As the ultimate decision-maker at Amazon, Bezos' vision to create and develop Amazon.com distinguishes him as a key pioneer in e-commerce.

Prior to founding Amazon, Bezos had already made a name for himself on Wall Street by helping to create one of the most technically sophisticated analysis programs for hedge funds and directing the development of computer software for managing Bankers Trust Company's more than $250 billion in assets under management (AUM).

Bezos also the founded aerospace company Blue Origin, which works to lower the cost and increase the safety of spaceflight. Ranked one of the 10 richest people in the world, he has an estimated net worth of $139.6 billion.

He earned bachelor's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering at Princeton University. He was named TIME Magazine's Person of the Year in 1999.

Brian Olsavsky

Brian Olsavsky became senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) at Amazon in 2015. As CFO, he manages all of the company's financial operations, including internal financial analysis, investor relations, taxes and internal audits.

Before he became CFO, Olsavsky served as the company's vice president of finance and the CFO of Amazon's Global Consumer Business, responsible for the financial management of the company's websites, as well as overseeing merchant services and fulfillment. He served as vice president of finance for the company's retail business unit and acquisitions in North America. He also led the finance departments for the company's Worldwide Operations department. Olsavsky has been with Amazon since 2002.

Before joining Amazon, he worked in a number of management positions at BF Goodrich and Union Carbide.

Olsavsky received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State and an MBA in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University.

Jeffrey M. Blackburn

Jeffrey Blackburn has been Amazon's senior vice president of business development since April 2006. Previously, he served as vice president of business development from June 2004 to April 2006. Before that, he served as vice president of European customer service from July 2003 to June 2004. From November 2002 to July 2003, he was vice president of operations integration. Before joining Amazon.com in 1998, Blackburn was assistant vice president at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. 

He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Andrew R. Jassy

Andy Jassy is CEO of Amazon Web Services. He has led Amazon Web Services since its inception, delivering more than 90 cloud infrastructure and application services that are used worldwide by startup, enterprise, and government customers. Jassy joined Amazon in 1997. Prior to founding Amazon Web Services, he served various leadership roles across the company.

Jassy has an AB from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

David Zopolsky

David Zopolsky serves as senior vice president of general counsel and secretary of Amazon.com. Zopolsky initially joined the company in 1999 as associate general counsel in charge of litigation and regulatory matters. In his current position with the company, Zopolsky is responsible for supervising and managing all of the company’s legal affairs, including being the chief regulatory compliance officer and managing legal aspects of corporate policy issues. With a firm as large as Amazon, intricately involved with so many other companies and with such far-reaching operations, keeping the firm out of legal problems is a key role.

Before coming to work for Amazon, Zopolsky was an assistant district attorney in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office in New York, a lawyer at Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz, and a partner at the offices of Dorsey & Whitney and Bogle & Gates.

Zopolsky holds a BA from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
