The Henry B. Tippie College of Business is the business school located at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Named after 1949 graduate Henry B. Tippie, the school is one of the oldest and top-ranked business schools in the United States.

In its early years, the college offered degrees in commerce, economics and finance. In 1908, the word "commerce" was added to the school name, and the school featured nearly 40 courses. In 1921, the College of Commerce was born and enrolled approximately 100 students with 23 faculty members. Two years later, the college joined the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The Henry B. Tippie College of Business is located in the Pappajohn Business Building, which is named after Des Moines venture capitalist, John Pappajohn, a 1952 graduate of the college.

It is difficult to gain admission to the school, and most undergrads who are admitted are junior, although a small cadre of high-achieving freshmen are also taken in each year. Tippie offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees in one of seven areas: accounting, business analytics and information systems (BAIS), economics, finance, management, marketing and entrepreneurial management.

The MBA program at the school has consistently been ranked as one of the fastest payback programs in America. Its business program is ranked among the Top 100 by BusinessWeek magazine.

In addition to its Iowa City campus, Tippie offers MBA programs in Des Moines, Davenport, Cedar Rapids, Hong Kong and Italy.
