Sheila Olson

As a health IT entrepreneur and business owner for over 20 years, Sheila Olson worked with leading edge technology companies and visionaries in the health care field. She began writing about trends in health care and biotechnology in the 1990s, as well as public policy and regulations that affected the industry, for trade publications.

Sheila has been active in the markets for over two decades; her business background and health care focus shapes her analytical approach to stocks and opportunities. She is especially interested in emerging technology and growth potential in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Sheila currently writes about investing, especially fundamentals and technical analysis, for Investopedia and the Motley Fool, among others, and on personal finance issues for major financial brands such as Prudential.

Sheila earned a bachelor's degree in public health from Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Augustana University.
