Experience
Linda (pseudonym) began her career in the financial services industry around 1982. She spent 17 years working in the field of investment banking for various Wall Street firms. During this time Linda worked in positions of increasing responsibility and as an independent consultant. She acquired skills in private equity and syndicated lending as well as experience in working with leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). In the late 1990s, after leaving her banking career, Linda continued trading equities, index futures and options.
Linda has worked with Investopedia since 2018. Her work includes articles on financial analysis, trading strategies, and investing in exchange-traded funds (ETFs). In her work, Internal rate of return: An inside look, Linda breaks down the calculations behind determining the gains or loss of an investment using the internal ROR method.
